Human Identity Crisis

I believe that we live in the time when digital tech rewrites the humanity. It used to rewire, now it actually rewrites.

The funny part is that many people take changes for granted while AI simply erases human identity and authenticity.

Some people don't even notice subtle changes in the conversation tone. That idiotic ChatGPT upbeat. And, don't get me started, the structural changes in the language itself.

The social networks are full AI generated or altered content that looks entirely realistic. That shifts our perception and makes people to look like that content.

Yeah. We used to make fun of those Instagram filters. Not anymore. New content alternatives look absolutely real when those "people" don't exist.

The real bad thing is a trend. Authentic content is no longer valued. You might spend hours doing your shots, planning, learning, finding the right moment. 0 engagement. At the same moment - 1 prompt and voila, thousands of views and likes. This destroys any desire to make a progress in anything.

Why to learn about software engineering when vibe coding can do almost every imaginable algorithm possible?

We can't really compete with AI poems and poetry. Even the music is becomes made with AI these days. Human voice is completely synthesized. Fakes are everywhere.

Something that was entertaining looks scary.

We are getting into the world of unrealistic expectations with standards that impossible to meet. And those standards look totally realistic.

Social networks investing into the tech that completely bypasses any imaginable privacy. The recent developments in the neural activity interpretation are concerning. The bleeding edge is capable to synthesize the speech for certain individuals. It basically reads human thought. There are things that use ultrasound to make person feel smells. Imagine the ads that go straight into your brain. A sick dream. Yes. We are getting there. One step at a time.

But humans adapt. I hope we will do faster before that thing will kill us from the inside.
